E-Safety including ACE (Accreditation of Competence in E-SaFety)

Being safe online and behaving responsibly are important aspects of using the internet effectively.

ACE is a scheme of work for children to show that they are consistently adopting safe online behaviours and deserve to be awarded the relevant level of Accredited Competence in E-Safety. Children demonstrate that they are becoming digitally mature by completing a series of tasks. The tasks are organised into three levels:

- Bronze: showing awareness of how technology keeps you safe

- Silver: developing independence and managing a greater range of online activities

- Gold: presenting an online identity and managing risk effectively anytime, anywhere.

The ACE scheme of work comes free as part of your Starz+ subscription and is delivered in hard copy form (White Folder) when your school commences it's Starz+ subscription.  A digital copy is also available upon request.

For schools who do not subscribe there is a charge for the supply of these materials.

To get you started we have created an ACE - Bronze shared project.  Download and amend to suit your pupils and needs.

Pupils are also supplied with a number of E-Safety related links within the Starz Activities area - see related articles.
